We have always had an involvement in photographic retailing and in film processing, but the expansion of our premises in 1999 gave us the opportunity to provide One Hour Photo services in-store. Starting out with basic 135 film processing machines, we have upgraded our entire facility three times since then - each time to meet the growing demand and to provide the best quality and greatest range of services.

Here at Gildea's, we have invested in the latest technology in photo processing to meet the needs of our photographic customers. Using the AGFA D-Lab processing machine we develop and process photographs from all the media available today - 135 film, APS film and, of course, the whole range of digital formats, either direct from memory cards or from CD or alternative media including direct from phones or other Bluetooth enabled devices.

Along with photo processing, we sell and provide advice to customers on every aspect of photography. Digital photography has expanded to dominate the marketplace over the last 3 years - but people still are unsure about what specifications to ask for, or what the pitfalls are and what to look out for. Here at Gildea's we carry the range of FUJI, RICOH and CANON digital cameras - from kits for beginners and infrequent users - who just want a camera they know will give them dependable results, right up to cameras for the enthusiast - who demand the most advanced features and specifications. Why not come in and talk to us - it's pretty daunting without a little help. Thats what we're here for!

As well as photo processing, we provide a range of additional related services.

Those special photos can be personalised here in-store - we make up key rings, fridge magnets, greeting cards and calendars, all at very reasonable prices. Call in and have a look at our samples - 2 key rings, with a different photo on each side cost just EUR 6.99!

We can also provide a range of services for small businesses - personalised business cards, flyers and letterheading, incorporating a background photograph. Again, ask to see our samples and ask for our keenest prices.

We can help to bring old photos back to life and repair damaged photos with our restoration service. Much of the work can be done in-house, but we also work closely with the recognised leaders in this field - PHOTOPAGES.
